I forgot to post that past few weeks!!! Well to sum up... last week we talked about Passover. Then we did some word searches and math problems. The week before we just worked out of her work books!!
This weeks lesson plans: I am making a memory/match game that requires her to match uppercase with lower case letters. I simply made a word document with all the letters (once in upper, once in lower) and I am printing on card stock and cutting squares out... I did have to be careful of the fonts I used. I never did find a font with the hook on the lower "Q " so I had to make it myself with a sharpie . She gets confused on the fancy fonts (rightfully so!). If anyone is making one for them at home we used "Times New Roman" for the uppercase and Arial Unicode MS for lower, and like i said just added a hook on the "Q".
Math & Science: Making bread. I have a recipe that I use for our everyday bread. I'll probably just use that one. She can measure ingredients, take take the temperature of the scalded milk and watch for the yeast.
Reading: More Bob Books.
I'll probably throw in a word search because she loves them. She also progressed to crosswords too so YAY. I'll toss in one or two of them for her.

Your plans sound like a winner to me :)
ReplyDeleteIt's neat you're teaching her to do measurements. I don't even know the temp. for scalded milk - you must tell me!
Do you find your crosswords online? If so, can I access it? (if it includes adult, too). Many years ago we had a program that made seek and find, and crossword puzzles. We work the crossword in the Waco paper every morning, but that paper seems to be fizzling out. They are really cutting back and their crossword might disappear! We are about ready to cancel our subscription.
