We are in.

I have made a final decision (Lord I HOPE this is really my final...) We will be a homeschooling family. I am committing to at least through 5th grade. I would love to have the luxury of saying "We'll take it year by year" but we can not. The only school I was ok sending her to was a charter school, which of course has a waiting list... so when I give up her spot, it is gone.

But so far so good! She is insisting we start right now. I have been reading her very first chapter book to her: My Father's Dragon by Ruth Stiles Gannett. There are 2 more in the series that we will read.

I will not have access to the curriculum library offered from our home instruction office until the school year begins, so I am looking at some easy stuff at the library. She seems to be a high K/1st grade level on reading and math.

C is going to start as well with some basics this year. We really need to work on shapes. That is my goal.
