Annnnnd we are back...

So I tried blogging at another site, and I realized it was just to complicated. So much so I hated posting... so I never did. Now I am look at this first year of homeschooling and I realize I don't have much documented.

I am going to go through some of our stuff and re-cap, if only for my own benefit. I like a quick place to look to see the progress!

Some updates: M is reading now, as in she can read stage 1 (or 2, depending) books in the "Learn To Read" series.

We have started a Campfire Club. I was leading... but that proved TO MUCH for me so I handed it over to another mom. I think this was one of the BEST decisions ever made. She is a natural, I am not. The kids are getting much more out of Campfire. Whew!

We have studied: Cleopatra, Knights and we are currently on Dinosaurs. I have some great books that I will try and list

She is also studying Spanish, learning to knit and sew. We got a pottery wheel, that will be a learning experience for both of us! But it looks so fun!!!

She is in choir at church, as well as Sunday school.

She is also back in dance this year! It was already busy in dance because her studio does The Nutcracker Suite every other year and this was the year! She was a "dew drop fairy"

She was in cheer-leading, but that ended at the end of October. and she decided the Upward cheer-leading was not for her. She wants to learn stunts, and that is against their philosophy. Next year we are going to look for a more stunt/tumbling oriented squad.

C is doing great. He has learned all his colors, most shapes. Can count to 13, 10 in Spanish. We are beginning letter and number recognition... that is slow going, but I know it will come in time. I have put him in tumbling... he is so energetic!

I think that is us in a nutshell... I don't have much posted on the other site, but I am going to see if I can transfer our posts over to hear. I would rather have everything in one spot.
