Oh the kids are just loving the Advent Tree! They ask every morning to see what the day has in store! The 4 year old gets to take the paper out and the 8 year old gets to read them.
Day 5: Make a Christmas wreath. We just used construction paper and glitter glue (all supplies on hand)
Day 6: Color a Christmas Picture. The girl has cheerleading on this night, so we have to make them very simple.
Day 7: Watch "Charlie Brown Christmas" <3 a family favorite
Day 8: See SANTA! Needless to say the kids were super excited. We went to Bass Pro Shop for the free picture AND crafts. WHY have I not been told of this free gem before????
Day 9: Bake Christmas cookies. The littles helped measure out and cut out the cookies. Even Daddy got into the baking!
Day 10: See a live nativity The church up the street has one every year. And every year I forget to go. But not this year! The kids LOVED this. I was expecting them to spend all of a minute there and we would go back home. But, no! They were simply mesmerized by the scene. I think were were there almost 30 minutes.
Total budget for this week = $0! Ok we did get cocoa today for the nativity, but that was purely optional. So $5.
Nativity Scene (not pictured... the donkey. Kids got to pet him!)
