Pinterest and Advent

I found a great project for and Advent Tree for the kids.  I have sewn one.  Another great idea I found via Pinterest is to have stuff to do Vs.  getting stuff in the calender so we are

Day 1:  Read a Christmas story (we chose A Christmas Carol)
Day 2: Make snowflakes
Day 3: Make hot cocoa (homemade of course!)
Day 4: Make gingerbread houses with graham crackers.

I did have to improvise a bit.  Yesterday is supposed to be "go ice skating" but the weather was horrible =( .

They kids are loving it and so am I! Anything to put more joy in the holidays.

I should probably investigate how to upload pictures to here... I have some of the tree and the littles doing some activities.

EDIT TO ADD:  I am going to keep a budget here on our expenses for the Advent.  We are on a TIGHT budget so I am hoping to do most things for little to no money.  I think I spent around $10 for groceries for cocoa and gingerbread houses.   I had the book and art supplies.
